Samantha’s Story

Samantha is an educator who creates from the heart.

A creator at heart, she seamlessly transitions into the role of a nurturing coach, teacher, and builder.

Of the boreal forest, Samantha Wilson is part creature of comfort, part adventurous soul. Her dual nature highlights her ability to graciously take on new challenges.

With over 14 years of experience, Samantha is not just an educator and learning specialist; she is a motivated force who has recently completed a Master’s of Education in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Calgary. Her research was at the intersection of neuroscience, psychology, and health which focused on unraveling the impact of stress on learning and motivation.

Driven by her passion for education, Samantha wields a profound understanding of the tools and environments necessary to create transformative learning opportunities that have a lifelong impact on the learner.

As a Learning Design Consultant + Coach, her goal is to educate others in educational design principles and learning theories so that they can bring their vision to life. Using educational theories and neuroscience principles, she guides clients through the process of building a learning product or learning experience. Throughout the process, she provides her clients with loving support and effective tools needed to build. She uses an interdisciplinary approach to coaching, bringing with her all aspects of her experience and education.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Samantha was the founder of girls who folk – a vibrant community for those who seek opportunities to learn, create, and grow. Through this initiative, she elevated the voices and work of makers and creators.

Samantha draws inspiration from nature, spaces, and places. You can often find her outside on the lake, in the mountains, or on the trail. Frequent trips up north to the Yukon or back to her homeland of Lake of the Woods feeds her heart and gives her healing energy.

Her dream is to one day live in a cabin in the woods with her husband, Tyler. But for now, she currently lives, works, and plays on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the syilx/Okanagan people (Kelowna, British Columbia).
